Delete your account

You can delete your Musamma account and everything backed up with it at any time, in the app or by email.

In the app (fastest)

  • Open Musamma and tap your profile circle (top left of Vocabulary or Words) to open Account.
  • Tap Delete account, then confirm.
  • Choose your Google account when Google asks you to confirm it’s you.

Deletion happens straight away.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app, email us from the Google address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my Musamma account”. We will confirm the request and delete your account and data within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your Musamma account (your Google sign-in with Musamma).
  • Your backup: every sticker image, the Arabic and English words and sentences, your saved words, your lists, and your learning choices (why you’re learning, the Arabic you chose, and the country if you picked one).
  • The record of which AI stickers you used, and your thumbs up, thumbs down and reports on AI stickers.
  • Your Pro status, and your customer record with our subscription provider, RevenueCat (it queues the deletion on its side).
  • Everything Musamma stored on the phone where you delete it in the app.

Deleting your Musamma account does not delete your Google account.

What may be kept for a short time

Limited request and error records kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability (for example IP address, time and error details, without your photos or vocabulary) expire under its normal logging retention. Your scan, search and sticker counts (how many you made each day and month, with no photos or words) are kept for 30 days after deletion, so a new account cannot be used to reset the limits, and are then deleted automatically. AI sticker pictures in the shared library are not linked to you and stay in the library. Nothing else is kept.

Your subscription is not cancelled by deleting your account. If you subscribed to Musamma Pro, cancel it in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) so you are not charged again. Google keeps its own payment records under its own policies.

Deleting just some data? You don’t need to delete your account to remove a sticker or a word: delete it from its screen in the app and it is removed from your backup too.
